Kurukshetra University Admission Eligibility Criteria

• UG admission: Candidates must have a 12th class certificate from recognixed board such as CBSE/NIOS/HSC/CISCE/etc.
• PG admission: Candidates should have completed a 3-year graduate degree in any field. 
• PhD admission: Candidates must have a master’s degree in a relevant stream with a 55% marks. 
• There is no age limit; anyone can apply for admission. 

Kurukshetra University Entrance Exam 2026

While Kurukshetra University admissions generally use merit lists for many programs, some professional programs, such as LLB, B.P.Ed., MSc, MA, Master of Social Work, and others have different admission criteria. This university conducts its own entrance exam for all programs, which students can take in both online and offline modes.  The exam is 90 minutes long and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. KUK UG program Admission 2026 will start on first week of March 2026 for the 2026-27 academic session. The university offers admission in a wide range of Undegreduate program such as BTech, BA, BSc, BEd, BPEd, BBA, BCom and more. This year, admissions to most undergraduate programs will be based on merit, while entrance exams will be conducted for some professional courses. However, for admission, students must meet the basic eligibility criteria; they must have completed at least 12th grade with a minimum of 45% to 50% marks.

Kurukshetra University B.Ed Admission 2026

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is a two-year undergraduate program divided into four semesters. This program is for all students who want to pursue a career in teaching. KUK offers admission to the B.Ed. program, but students must clear an entrance exam to be admitted.  Basic eligibility criteria must be met for admission. Students must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject with a minimum of 50% marks. After completing this program, students make a career in various fields like teaching in schools/university, principals, online tutoring, and more.

KUK BTech Admission 2026-27

Kurukshetra University offers admission in various B.Tech specialisations such as Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Civil Engineering. For admission to all these programs, students must clear JEE Main, based on which a merit list will be prepared. Regarding admissions, KUK has not yet opened admissions for the 2026-27 session. The program fee is INR 1,00,400 per year, and the application fee has to be paid separately.

Kurukshetra University offers several Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in regular classroom mode. These programs have a duration of 2 to 5 years and are divided into 4 to 7 semesters. The programs offer specialisations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, OB, Accounting, and many others. Admission to the KUK MBA program is based entirely on an entrance examination, interview, and group discussion. The selection process will include an entrance test (80%), group discussion (10%), and a personal interview (10%). A merit list will be prepared based on these criteria. Kurukshetra University admits a large number of students interested in research careers every year, with admissions starting on 01 August 2026.  It offers admissions in various disciplines such as Arts & Humanities, Science, Commerce, Management, Education, and Engineering. For admission, students will have to clear an entrance exam and an interview round. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/JRF/CSIR-NET will be exempted from the written exam, but there is no exemption from the interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the entrance exam score and the interview score. Kurukshetra University Admission 2026 last date is 26 August 2026 for the PhD programs.
